Prioritizing Self-Care
Try This Tiny Practice

with Jeanette Bronée

When life gets busy, we often overlook our own self-care.

We invite you to make it a go-to habit to check in with yourself using this #TinyPractice shared by self-nourishment expert Jeanette Bronée. Ask yourself these two important questions whenever you notice you’re in the middle of a stressful moment.

Jeanette Bronée, CHHC, is a nourishment expert and coach, founder of the Path for Life Self-Nourishment Center in New York City, and author of Eat to Feel Full. Her online 9-Step Path for Life Self-Nourishment Program incorporates her three essential principles for lasting personal transformation — food knowledge, mindfulness, and habit shifting. Her goal is to empower her clients to take charge of their daily well-being, performance, and future health by changing their relationship with food.

To be in nature with sun nurturing me, the sound of wind through the pine tree outside. To be truly held in love. To listen fully to myself and others, so we’re truly heard. Thank you for this practice. To me it’s mindful awareness in action.

  • Beverly Charleston says:

    Thank you for this.

  • shirley says:

This exercise seems so simple, yet it is so very deep. Oftentimes, to get out needs met, we just do what we are accustomed instead of stopping to ask, “what is it that I really need right now”? I will practice this for myself and then share it with the women’s group I facilitate.

  • Krissy says:

I needed to hear these words , ‘check in with yourself right now what do you need?’
and to mull over the words slowly for a coule of minutes
I responded by feeling my body relax just a tiny bit!
and I listened to my breath
and I smiled to think that …..yes…..I am a practitioner of mindfulness
and I am a teacher of mindfulness [Youth Mindfulness Glasgow UK]
but I still need to see/hear those words ………………now I will drink tea and eat a slice of Stollen!

  • Yvette Jarreau says:

I need some time to read peacefully. And I need to learn how to tune into myself with as much intuition as I use to tune into others.

  • Dr. AnnRené Joseph says:

Thank you. I am great right now and most all of the time. It’s my daily practice of complete surrender, trust, faith, hope, and an attitude that all will be well – no matter what. All I need is Jesus!

  • pam says:

i need to feel heard by my immediate family. i feel like i give, give, give and that a simple acknowledgment, a word of appreciation, would be helpful.

    • Barbara says:

Like “pam” above, I feel I give so much mentally, emotionally and physically to family and friends but would appreciate an acknowledgment of appreciation. Thankful for the ability to offer comfort to so many but sure would like the same in return.

  • Jenny says:

I need some quiet time to reflect & affirm all that i’m thankfuñ for & do my meditation!

  • Nicole Thiel says:

This is great! Thanks. I need deep sustainable relationships with myself, my intimate partners and friends, and increasing the the ways to be self compassionate and compassionate with al others. This is our new conversation of belonging.

  • Helen Leslie says:

Thank you for doing this work. I live in Minnesota so cannot attend your live workshops but I plan to tune in to sessions that are live-streamed or recorded. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

  • Marsha Calig says:

Yes we tend to forget about our selves as there are so many hurting.
Yes we need to come 1st before we can help others
