When Women Lead…
featuring Eileen Fisher & Ivy Ross
with Jessica Orkin, Kate Johnson & Antoinette Klatzky
In leadership positions the world over, the glass ceiling is still real. Women are making a dent, but power in cultural, political and corporate sectors continues to be defined, and led, by men.
Can that balance of power be shifted? We believe it can.
“Women are going to be the force for changing the way business is done,” says Eileen Fisher, founder and CEO of EILEEN FISHER, Inc. “Not because we’re better, but because we’ve been left out. It’s time for us to be in there equally.”
We’ll hear the fascinating story of how EILEEN FISHER, Inc. grew out of the vision of one woman—as well as the leadership stories of Ivy Ross, who, as vice president of hardware design, is leading Google’s charge into aesthetic and innovative consumer products, and Jessica Orkin, SYPartners president, who works with visionary CEOs to drive business growth and culture change.
Women bring a unique perspective and innate skill set to leadership positions—and the world needs us. We invite you to participate in this extraordinary daylong event either online via our specially designed live-stream experience or in person at the Eileen Fisher Learning Lab in Irvington, NY.
Through writing, conversation, movement and Q&A with our presenters, we will learn and grow from each other’s strengths, hopes and experiences.
Let’s create the change we want to see in the world. Together.
Online or In Person
Each event in the Women Together Series features these three elements. Whether you join in person or online you will have opportunities to connect with other participants, learn and try new practices that support the day’s experience and spend time moving.
More About the Day
Our morning session includes a conversation among Eileen Fisher, Ivy Ross and Jessica Orkin, moderated by Antoinette Klatzky, the executive director of the Eileen Fisher Leadership Institute.
During our afternoon session, Antoinette and movement teacher Kate Johnson will lead us in practices that will help us integrate discoveries from the day into our bodies.
“Listening is the way I run the business — by getting more opinions, by working together with others.” —Eileen Fisher
Eileen Fisher, founder and chairwoman of EILEEN FISHER, INC., has been on a decades-long journey of awakening to her purpose, exploring the mind-body connection and striving to live more consciously. Her commitment to lifelong learning and alignment with what truly matters has led her to create a unique company culture of collaboration and caring and to spearhead initiatives that empower others and create a better, more sustainable world.
In 2017, Parsons New School of Design honored Eileen at their annual gala for her work in sustainability, and she was selected to join the Steering Committee for New York State’s Inaugural Council on Women and Girls. Launched by Governor Andrew Cuomo, the committee was formed to ensure that government policies and programs protect women’s rights and equality advancement in the state. Eileen was presented the Force for Good Award by the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy (CECP) in February 2016. She is a 2012 inductee into the Social Venture Network Hall of Fame.
